Handmade eco-notebooks A5 format

Brief

Create an unusual notebook for event participants from accessible and eco-friendly materials that would align with the organization's humanitarian values and stand out significantly from standard printed products.

Solution

The workshop developed a custom A5 design. The notebook is based on thick cardboard, the inner block is made of newsprint, and the cover is made of dense, wear-resistant felt. The Red Crescent Kyrgyzstan logo and the event name were applied to the cover using sublimation printing. All elements were manually cut, aligned, and assembled. A decorative cord was used for binding, serving both functional and aesthetic purposes.

Outcome

In eight days, 100 original eco-notebooks were produced. The project became one of the most unusual orders for KIYIZGROUP in 2018 and an early example of how the workshop combined manual production, personalization, and responsible use of materials.
